Bridge is a card game that has been a worldwide favourite for years. It's a game of strategy and teamwork that kids and adults can play. It also involves a bit of luck. Other than being an enjoyable pastime activity, Bridge is also good for the brain; it tones memory, focus, and analytical skills. It also offers an opportunity for socialising.

Wanneroo Districts Bridge Club Inc. is a new club that will be commencing soon for playing and learning to play Bridge. We plan to play on Thursdays in the Clarkson area.

We will contact you again when the exact location and commencement date have been confirmed.

The beginner classes will be on Thursdays from 7.00-10.00pm at the Community Centre.

The beginner's course will be in two parts as is bridge. Bidding and Play. This year we will begin with 4 week 'Play' course costing $40 which will cover methods and strategies which will enable success in all your bridge contracts. Part two ' bidding' will be offered early next year.

Experienced players will be supervising play sessions, after the lessons, allowing members to integrate all the techniques and strategies into their normal play.

In the initial stages of the club, we will be using bidding boxes and written scoring slips. As time progresses and funds increase, we will upgrade our resources accordingly.

We are looking to establish a fun and friendly club following the Australian Bridge Federation guidelines and rules. Green Masterpoints where applicable will be awarded for each session and these will be uploaded once a month.

The club will also be running some intermediate lessons on topics such as overcalling, pre-empts, etc, and special topics including 2/1.

2/1 is the new extension to 'standard' that is capturing a lot of attention for its ability to find better contracts quickly and easily.

The cost for the 4 week beginners’ lessons is $40.00 inclusive.

Each 3 hour playing and supervised session will be $5.00 ‘Table Money’. This cost is to offset rent and running costs.

The annual membership fee is $55.00 or $20.00 for Associate membership if you are already a member of the ABF.
